I have seen some buzz about a quantum internet protocol. Can anyone please explain what this means?

Hello there!
Quantum Internet is predicted to take over the ‘traditional’ internet in a few years. This new system works on the basis of quantum physics and other energy fields based on tiny bits of energy, quanta. The quantum internet is a communication system that allows information exchange using the principles of quantum mechanics. The scientists behind this groundbreaking technology say that it’ll be able to transmit large bits of data in a very short time–faster than the speed of light.
Quantum internet is being built to be impenetrable and resistant to hacking and other cybercrimes. One important feature of the Quantum Internet is that, unlike the traditional internet, it is coded in simultaneously superimposed zeros and ones. In the years to come, we will need to develop and create new infrastructure to support this new technology. Some of which include quantum hubs, computers, processors, routers, repeaters, and gateways. A new ecosystem will bud from the evolution of this new tech, with the financial industry, health sciences, astronomy, and supply chain industries primed to benefit the most.
